I am a Steve Martin fan! The Queen was great. Eugene Levy is hilarious. Just lighten up and enjoy it. There ARE differences between us and them! (I'm African-American). Ain't it cool we can laugh about it????

Heres one big difference:

the black people in the theater LOVED this movie and the white people were intelligent enough not to laugh at EVERY single repeated joke.

Are you implying a lack of intelligence in the African American community? Are you implying that white people are just more intelligent as a race?? What are you implying? I am the first to admit a lack of intelligence... After all I graduated from Oakland Technical High! The person I watched the movie was white and, although the things we laughed at were a bit different, He thought it was funny, nonetheless.

i was amused by this film as well. i didn't go into the theatre looking for the meaning of life...which is difficult to find in movie theatres nowadays. =) anyway, good for a laugh.

Flat out, this is the worst film of the year. I and six of my friends walked out and found funnier things to do in the movie theatre lobby than watch Bringing Down the House. iT was my first walk out ever.

This movie was very average. It had a FEW (actually i think it was 2) laughs but the whole movie was just white people talking like black people. It was funny the first time but I hear this stuff all the time just by attending school so it really is not that funny. I think as a movie it wasnt all that bad but as a comedy I would definitely not recommend it unless you are female(girls dont have a problem laughing at the same kind of jokes over and over). This isn't a horrible film but if you want to see it just wait until it comes out on video.

This movie was really funny! It gave me a few laughs. I would give this movie 7.5/10! i mean it was jus whites againest blackS! lol

Thank you so much for your post!!! It's about time someone realized and admitted we are different. People have been screaming *racist* and *stereotype* since before "Amos and Andy was on tv. And they forget all about the fact that that *beep* was funny as hell! They need to remaster it(A'n A) and put it on DVD. Must we all act the same way?

Hey, I'm white and I thought this movie was great! I thought it made fun of blacks and whites eaqually- and it was right a lot of the time, but it was never mean or cynical. I thought it was hilarious!
