Racism - Who cares?
I've read numerous threads on here griping about this film's use of racial stereotypes for a humorous effect. Who cares? Funny is funny, and this film (while not a "great film", or even a totally coherent one) was definitely funny.
Everyone harbors some form of profiling (in short, we're all "racist" to some extent). This is why "racism" is such an overused term: While the word itself brings to mind the hateful extremists, the term is all too often used to express deep-seated stereotypes we ALL have.
Human beings are judgemental based on appearance...this, much like death, is a part of life. Instead of trying to gloss over these things, we should be laughing at them. After all, what's the point of walking around for the rest of one's life with a permanently constricted sphincter?
