Help me was this line racist?
When we goes "i hope you like sham......poo."?
I know they didnt mean it to be racist but a white guy looking at a black girl and saying poo rings a few bells.
Anyone else?
i don't think they meant it to be racist, i mean look at her hair in that scene, it is like poofy and just not natural looking. i think that he was just finishing out the sentence because he was going to say,"I hope you like champagne." and then he saw her, wouldn't you notice that hair?? wow, i bet her hair stylist had fun. also shampoo and champagne have the same beginning sound, so they just made a joke about it.
shareI am not sure if it was her hair that was the reason he said it. It was because he was mid sentence when he saw that she was definitly not the woman in the picture he thought she was. (He later finds out she was the one in the background in handcuffs). They probably added 'poo' because it was a shock swear word and switching it to 'cham.... poo' made it funny.
