Completely unrealistic line in this movie

When adam sandler is woke up by jack nicolson and nickolosn demands sandler to make breakfast adam sandler responds by saying "there's a dennys down the street"

INCORRECT there is no dennys in new york city now, only on long island, and there was certainly none in 2003 psh.

Dennys don't exist in New York City?

Introduce her to your world of sex, drugs and what else do you do? Cruel Intentions

Considering the movie was an over-the-top comedy about a guy with anger management issues, having jack nicholson waking you up and asking for breakfast is very outrageous. And then having Sandler say, "there's a denny's down the street", further adds to the outrageous dialogue. I thought it was funny. The entire movie was full of unrealistic scenes. I especially liked the anger management meetings. Very funny.

There is one (that I know of) on Staten Island (one of NYC boroughs), but there aren't any in any of the other boroughs. I believe Denny's restaurants are usually in suburban areas. Denny's may have been mentioned in that line as a form of product placement (just like many Will Ferrell movies mention Applebee's).
