Why are so many actors from Scrubs on Clone High?

Looking at the credits, has anyone else noticed that practically half the cast of the show Scrubs played a character, usually a minor role, on Clone High?

Chris Faison (Turk) played Toots.
Neil Flynn (the Janitor) played Julius Caesar.
Sarah Chalke (Eliot Reed) played Marie Antoinette.
Zach Braff (JD) played Paul Revere.

Not that I mind, but what's up with that?

Writer and exectutive producer of Clone High Bill Lawrence is a writer/exectutive producer/directer on Scrubs.

You missed Christa Miller (Jordan Sullivan) who voiced Cleopatra.
