Question

Do the clones know who they are? I always thought the premise would be better if they had no idea, and thought they were just regular teenagers. Also, I don't really see why they should know who they are, except for the use of their names. Why would they have been told? And lastly, if they know who they are, do they know WHY they are who they are?

They know who they come from but they don't know much about who they come from, you know? They're blissfully unaware of their purpose in life and how/why they have been cloned from these people, but it doesn't matter to them, nor is it important to the audience.

Like in the second episode (I believe), Abe is sitting in the booth at the restaurant, saying he doesn't know what fears are holding him back from being student body president. He is completely oblivious to the painting of Abraham Lincoln being shot in the head by John Wilkes Booth right next to him. In one episode, Gandhi claims if Gandhi stands for anything, it's for revenge. The only person who seems to know about their genes come from is Joan of Arc, and possibly Cleopatra. JFK just thinks the original John F. Kennedy was a womanizer who conquered the moon.

JFK seems blissfully unaware of the Kennedy curse mind you. Saying something like "This shouldn't happen I'm a Kennedy"

Also "I'm a Kennedy. We're not used to dealing with tragedy!" and "Nothing bad ever happens to the Kennedys!" right before his car flips.
