7.1 is the best in the series...

Other than the first two movies it is the closest to the books and actually has pacing. I get why it is hard to stay exactly to the books due to their size and the first 2 werent that large but the whole series is so jumbled up. ITs like if you didnt read them youre just kind of lost. If you did read you are filling in the scenes automatically.

7.1 is easily the worst film of the series.... Like nothing much happened

I loved 7.1 so much and still do to this day.

It seems like not much happened in hindsight but rewatching is kind of an emotional rollercoaster. Aided by the fact that it's remarkably faithful to the book, it also captures that sense of dread, hopelessness, and the trio being faced with an overwhelming task that they don't even know how to begin. I think next to Prisoner of Azkaban, 7.1 did one of the best jobs of capturing the mood of the book, and being a faithful adaptation in addition to good movie.

Still, though, I would love love love to see parts 1 and 2 edited into a massive film, if only to fix the issues I had with the pacing of part 2. As a huge Potterhead I'd gladly sit through it.

Goblet of Fire was the worst in the series for simply having *too* much going on and not enough time to convey it all

I agree. If part 2 hadn't messed up Voldemort's death so bad that one would have been my favorite.
