Cecil

So I'm just rewatching this and Dr. lee let's Nick Cannon perform at the end against Morris Brown, however they gotta take someone out. So they just tell Cecil to take his gear off and GIVE it to Nick Cannon? That's some *beep* right there, yeah you want the best in the field, but the dude worked his ass off to get left out of the big show.

If I'm him, I quit next year and join another band, *beep* is lack of respect.

Worth killing for, worth dying for, worth goin to hell for.

Have you never heard of the saying "Taking one for the team" or "One Band One Sound" (its from the movie). I'm sure they would have said something like there is no "I" in band also.

If Nick Cannon's character needed a set of drum sticks Cecil would have torn out his own leg bones to fashion a set of sticks for him. :-)

Also quiting is one thing, joining another band would involve leaving the college he is at now and applying to another college and having to audition for that band.

I honestly don't remember who Cecil was...but perhaps he was not a drummer, and he played another instrument in the band. In that case, it would be no sacrifice for him to give up his uniform because the "ultimate battle" was going to be between the drumlines and he wouldn't have played anyway.
