1) If the sickness was spread through the dead guy polluting the water then how did the dead guy get it in the first place?

2)So what was up with the sick animals that the dead guy's cousin was talking about? Was it related to the disease? If so, then how did they get it?

3) Why did we see a giant bunny in the hospital?

4) Why was the kid so weird? Why was he yelling about pancakes?

5) Did Paul die from the sickness or was he killed by the weird cop guy? He wasn't all eaten up like Karen so I'm assuming he was murdered and not just left there to die.

1. the homeless guy got the disease when his dead dog's blood sprayed on him in the very first scene. where the dog got the disease is a mystery.
2. the movie implies that the pigs also had the same disease as the people. once again, how they got it is a mystery.
3. that's one of the biggest mysteries of the whole movie. it's so random and it's never explained in the movie. 2 of the leading theories is that paul was hallucinating from the disease when he thought he saw the bunny or that the bunny was a guy who visited sick kids in hospital to cheer them up.
4. he was just a mentally handicapped kid. probably because he was inbred. i actually know a couple of actual people with severe mental handicaps and they can have really random crazy outbursts like the pancakes scene. it's not unrealistic. but the truth behind the scene was that eli roth once saw the kid practicing his karate during a break in filming and he just thought "that's cool! that is so going in the movie!"
5. paul actually survives this movie and only dies in the sequel. yeah, winston just left him there to die because he was a moron and also lazy. winning combination.
