I saw a video at gamespot of chris being decapitated like in the original, I tried to have the same thing happen in the game but all it showed was his throat being torn out. Did Capcom censor the american version just like in the original?

I'd seriously doubt it because in RE4 you can CLEARLY see Leon's head being lopped off in many death situations, in this game it'd obviously probably depend on what enemy kills you, in my version i'm 99.9% positive that crimson zombies chop off your head.
