How much did this gross? There are multiple figures floating around.

I know no one here will know for sure. But seriously why is there misinformation regarding it online. It should be verifiable.

I googled these films to see how big they were back in the days. The first made $59 mill worldwide on a $10 mill budget...seems right.

I was surprised to see this sequel made $119 mill. I knew of the top of my head that Freddy vs Jason, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Final Destination 2, Underworld etc, all made around 100.

That means this would have outgrossed them all. That didn't sound right to me. So I googled top grossing film of 2003. The lists only showcased domestic earnings. This was notably below the others.

Box office mojo says the film made $63 mill worldwide ($35 of which was domestic, that seems agreed upon). That sounds accurate. However the-numbers, wikipedia and a few other sites (likely sourcing wikipedia) are claiming it made $84 mill non-domestically/foreign. That's over the figures of FvJ & TCM put together and almost equal to Underworld & FD2 put together (those two together made $86 mill non-domestically).

Surely there is no way this made that much internationally? It's stupid how such misinformation is being spread about.
