from the beginning to the end: 'Mouth open'

From the beginning of the movie, the first thing i noticed when the younger son was being taken through the cornfields the older son had his mouth swinging open. Almost every time they showed him - there it was swung open like a rusty gate. Running through the cornfields? - wide open like an air dam.. Riding in the night and discovering the car without a roof? there it was again. we're checking out his dental work.. he sees the monster? - we get another damn tour of the "grand canyon" of his mouth.. Pulling the knife from the lamp shade? the first thing you'll notice when you look to your right? yep, ol' "Jethro's" mouth swinging in the breeze..

Next thing you know, every actor on the bus, whenever they encountered the monster - Mouths swung open..blonde jumps out of the truck, runs behind the tree, surprised she didn't catch a few lightning bugs. Why? because her mouth was swung open!

I know that many of the characters in the movie aren't smart - but there's a difference between being in awe, and standing there with your mouth agape as if your brain totally disconnected your TMJ muscles...

i really liked the dog, though






some days, it's not worth chewing through the restraints..
