things that weren't pointed out.

Firstly. The timeline someone mentioned how it made no sense. The first movie is supposedly the last day of his 23 days, yet this movie takes place several days after the 1st movie and is again the last day of his 23 days. That's really the only part of the timeline that bothers me. Because yes the 23 years later with him hanging up in the barn doesn't look like times changed. But whose to say what 23 years from now is really going to look like. And farms roughly ever change.

Second. Someone mentioned the small cheer-leading squad. I'm voting its a small school and not everybody went to the game. And also there was 4 girls not 3, the last girl didn't get a speaking role but you do see her in the background. And you do see her running with the others into the field.

Third. Also someone mentioned how it doesn't look like they prepared for it, in the 23 years later. However it doesn't go into much details, and I think they have prepared for it. I understand yes they could of disposed of it while it lying there hibernating. But they are angry and fuel with revenge, they want to fight it while its still alive its so much more satisfying than killing it while it cant fight back.

Fourth. People keep forgetting besides the two coaches and the female bus driver, he kills the male and female in the station wagon that stop and talk to one of the coaches before driving off.

Lastly, I know people have gone on and on, and please don't fight me on this. But who cares about the orientation of the monster. One in the 1st film you see lots of girls dead under the church. And two, he needs those organs to survive. They expire they die, he scents out what he needs and goes after it to survive. Yes in this film he does go after the guys, but hey he didn't need anything from him.

Oh, and someone mentioned the church. They made the 2nd movie in California, the 1st one was made in Florida. If the church wasn't "burned down" at the end of the movie they couldn't use it in the 2nd movie. Because after the movie aired, the church was mysteriously burned down in real life. It really upset the owner, and the police chalked it up to a homeless guy fell asleep and their cigarette set the church on fire. And someone mentioned the truck, after the credits of the 1st movie its seen driving as in hes waiting for new people on that road. So that's another inconsistency. Because if he still has the truck than it disappeared before the 2nd. Just a theory because I know it was greatly discussed.

Yes some good points you made. The time line is so poorly thought out it's amazing that the director or someone didn't catch this.

And none of the kids on the bus had cell phones? If the first movie happened in 2001 or close to it, then 23 years later makes it 2024. They still use CB's on school buses? No working cell phones, even among the teachers or coaches? It's 2012 now and we have wide areas of coverage with most areas covered with towers, etc.

You can't get me to believe that another 12 years from now we won't have even better cell phones and coverage! Come on folks! The writers just didn't seem to realize that the 23 year span creates a whole new set of issues to address. They played it as if it were only a few years apart...

the sequel takes place 4 days after the first movie (its specifically pointed out on the news report the bus kids listen to), so its not "2024" until the end scene at the barn.

It was never indicated in the first movie that it was taking place on the 23rd day. For all we know it could've been the first. Victor Salva mentioned before that he came up with the whole concept of "every 23rd spring for 23 days" to avoid doing a sequel, but he found a way around that by making the sequel within the same 23 days. So no real discrepancy there as again, nothing during the first film indicated that it was near the 23rd day.

As far as the future looking different... well it's been 12 years since 2001 and if you drive through some towns, especially in country areas, it still looks pretty much the same.
