Why Darry?

Okay, so the creeper only appears every 23 years to feed. So 23 years passes between the Darry/Trish story to the school bus incident.

Darry has a cell phone (of course it's dead, the tired Hollywood cliche) but no one has a working cell phone on the school bus? Unless you're in the sticks most cell phones can get some signal.

Since it's 23 years later, the cell phones should have gotten more reliable with more towers, coverage, etc.

And as many people, especially teen-agers, as the creeper has killed and eaten why does the girl on the bus (Minxie) who has the visions (what's up with that anyway? It's never explained how she has these "visions") see Darry of all people?

It just happens to be the one kid from the previous movie? Why not the two cops? Or the old cat/shotgun lady? No, it just happens to be a teen-ager too.

Why did they need to tie in the two movies? To mean it was not explained or than the babbling the Minxie girl does. I loved the line from the annoying jock who said "This morning you're waving pom poms and now you're a physic hotline?"

actually, this movie happened a few days after the first movie. you can tell by the news on the radio. the house/chapel where the bodies are discovered is the topic of the news.

As the poster above me explained, this movie is set within the same 23 days of the Creeper's feeding cycle as the first movie... the only part that's supposed to be 23 years later is the end... you can see that the father & son have aged remarkably, and the father is waiting for the Creeper to wake up again.

... the hardest thing in this world is to live in it...

It was Darry because he was a victim (chosen for body parts). the female cop and cat lady were just killed. The decapitated cop doesnt know anything about the creature. it would be pointless if he was in the vision.
