Mince it! And then eat it with a bolognese sauce and some good cheese! In the inevitable sequel he could then reassemble inside the eater and burst forth from within! Then maybe they can do your thing with the lava and whatnot. In the sequel to that he dramatically and no doubt ridiculously erupts from a volcanoes as a fiery Creeper god!!! Yeah.

I too wondered why they didn't just burn it? They have the perfect fire going just a few yards from where they had steaked it.. how hard would it have been just to move the thing and put it in the fire and let it die? Or did I miss something saying the fire could not kill it?
