Kenny and Darla were taken by the Creeper in 1978. So, Jeepers Creepers takes place in 2001, as does Jeepers Creepers II. In my opinion, the overall style of Jeepers Creepers II looks like it's the 1980's or something. Then, at the end of the movie when it's supposed to be 23 years later in 2024, it looks like no time has passed at all. Also, if they're going through with Jeepers Creepers III, that means that the end of II and the beginning of III are going to be within the same 23 days. Personally, it seems like they really didn't think the timeline though.

If the end of the 2nd film is 2024 then yes it doesn't look like time has really passed, but I don't think it would look all that different, especially taking place on a farm (farms tend to look the same.) Also Jeepers Creepers 3 hasn't been made yet you we can't say anything until then. So I don't see anything wrong with the timeline.

According to this website, the third film will pick up 23 years later with Dary's sister from the first movie, now a mother, and the Taggarts trying to stop the creeper.

Yes, it's a horror movie but these writers should use some freaking common sense! The timeline part is caught by anyone using a little thought.

Just silly writing and poorly thought out.

why at the end of 2 was nicki aycox the same age and ray wise was the crypt keepers age?wasnt he the coach 90 minutes earlier in the film?

I thought the original took place in 2001 or so, given the cell phones seen in the movie.

Actually there is a contradiction in the summaries. Part 1 is supposed to take place on the Creeper's last day of his 23-day feast. But Part 2 synopsis says the second movie picks up the day after the first one and is the last day of the 23 days. Anyway the timeline fits better if part 2 really is a day after part 1.
