i picked up the first season of this on dvd at best buy last week and mostly enjoyed it. it was a pretty good value for $25 although there are no extra features at all. all the transfers look nice, too.
anyone know what station this show aired on over there? just wondering.
It's even cheaper over here, you can pick it up for around a fiver now, and the second series is pretty cheap too. It aired on channel 5 over here, but was cancelled half way through the second series.
I do have a question about the UK DVDs, though - for some bizarre reason the episodes on the second discs of both my sets are sort of "stretched" if you watch them on a normal sized television. The episodes on the first discs are widescreen, with the borders at the top and bottom, but on the second disc they seemed to be stretched to fit the screen (i.e. so everything appears taller and thinner). Is this the same for everyone else?
Urban Gothic aired late at night on channel five. I think it was also a channel five production. Both series 1 and 2 are available from bannana bookshop for £7:99, but again there are no extras.
