Velma is released?

Was Velma actually released at the end or was Roxie imagining her there and that they formed a double act? Velma's story was really confusing sometimes

She really got out. She had Billy as an attorney as well, and he never loses a case as he claimed.

Velma entered into a deal with the DA in exchange for testifying against Roxie.

Thanks for the info @eviljanet. I must've turned my head for a bit and missed that part. :)

That's not correct because Billy Flynn admitted to making that whole thing up.

reply

It is correct. Billy told only Roxie that he had made the entries in her diary.

Besides, even if others did find out that Billy had done that, Velma still has her agreement and she fulfilled her side of it when she testified. Plus, after Roxie got acquitted she couldn't be re-tried for that crime either.
