reason why critics reviews irrelevant to children

simple this is a movie intended for kids, anything other than cute, funny, sparkling images on the screen is a plus in any animation, I have always wondered whether film reviews of fluffy animated films are directed to children
and even if the review is directed at their parents because afterall they are the one who are going to being their little ones to the theatres, does it really matter at all? No it doesn't beacause parents does not care whether the film makes sense or not as long as they get to spend quality times with their offspring on a movie that doesn't have violence, sex and swear words in it and if the movie happens to be inspiring then that makes it all the more better. Critical analysis and cynicism have no place in animated films directed at children pehaps critics need to re-evaluate their methods on how to properly judge an animated movie and maybe baed it on the positive side of the movie rather than the negatives, judging based on the criteria of fun factor, morality and overall quality should be the ut most importance rather than whether the voice actors delivered their lines well or how unrealistic the plot is, bottomline do children rally care at all, not at all as long the the film is fun and engaging and that is all that matters.

couldn't agree with you more. i have a six year old i and routinely ignore every review (except to check for content that might be too old for him) and have never been disapointed. granted, some films are better than others, but too a kid it doesn't matter.

I disagree with this.

No one (not even a kid) deserves to have to sit through a bad film.

It's this kind of thinking that got Disney to convert Feature Animation to 3D CGI only and make all those "cheapquels." Becase they're "wholesome, violence and sex-free entertianment"..but they are completely devoid of any artistic value.

And besides, these films are never intended exclusively for kids. Walt's whole thing was about trying to entertain anyone who would be able to buy a ticket...the same philosophy was later adopted by people like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.
