Hi. On the Save Disney site it says that quite a few of the animators from the Orlando Florida Studio are setting up a new animation team called Legacy or something. Anyone got any info? I would really appreciate it. Thankyou. :)

What is Legacy putting out? Is it related to Home on the Range? I've got my tickets for tonight! So excited to bring my little niece...she is a big horse fan- I think Cuba Gooding Jr is well cast as the Colt. imho
shareIf you go to the website it tells you what projects they are working on. I was there a while ago and they have a short film in the works called "Lucky". They do plan on my making feature animated films eventually.

There is also a new studio (in Florida I think) using the same tactic as Legacy: Disney animators focused on 2D. It's called Project Firefly

I wonder if other animators from disney are gonna work at legacy, like Glen Keane or John Pomeroy, or Andreas Deja. It would be perfect if legacy had Brad Bird and Don Bluth working at their studio. EDIT: I have just found out that the Legacy animation studio has shut down, no one knows why, but it just did. the short film the studio was making,"lucky" sounded like it was going to be good. all those animators from Disney are now out of a job what a shame.
