110 million dollar budget!?
where did it all go to?
shareThose rediculous backgrounds and 3d panning and zooming shots.
shareI thought the colourful backgrounds were one of the highlights of the film. The 3d camera moves were somewhat unneccesary, but in this day and age those sort of shots are not as prohibitively expensive as they used to be
It is more likely that the large budget is due to the fact that the film was in development for something like a decade, and several times the storyline was scrapped and started again, which meant animation thrown out and money down the drain. According to those in the know, the original version of the story was quite a bit better, but was unable to withstand the meddling executives.
