Braz was such a failure!


Not only did he not install a mechanism so that Virgil could fly, but he also made it so that no healthy compartment could be ejected, AND, the override for that was in the "crawl space" (entryway) of the ship. You'd also think if one suit can withstand 4500d F, and you have to do something where the temperature is 9000d F, he'd wear 2 suits. What a dipsh*t.
(some of this is just in good fun, and I also realize he had 3 months to build Virgil, but come on!)

Yeah, that override in the crawlway was a pretty lame plot contrivance. I love this flick, but that one made even me shake my head. There's nothing about being in a hurry that would make you put a control in a totally inaccessible place, even if you do think you're not likely to need it.

Your suggestion about two suits wouldn't work, though. A second suit wouldn't make either the inner or the outer one able to withstand higher temperatures than they're rated for.



You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
