So bad it's good!

This movie is a guilty pleasure for me. Of course the "science" is absurd and the premise is even more absurd. But I find it completely entertaining none the less. My favorite scene (and it makes me laugh hysterically) is when they are landing the shuttle in the LA Basin. (Within minutes of coming in well above the sound barrier!) The look on the welder's face when they pull up to him is so priceless it could be used in a Mentos commercial!
Another thing I appreciate about the film, is that it doesn't take itself too seriously, there is subtle humor throughout, if you look for it.
