So I just watched this film 2 days ago. Just saw it on some T.V. or something. So I wish you guys help me to answer these questions.

1. What's the reason why 3 civilians within 40 mile radius have died at that time?
2. What's the cause of birds swarming seems to bump everywhere?
3. What do the scientists need to do in order to have the rotate again?

Here are the fictional reasons as presented in this movie

1. Geomagnetic problems fried people's pacemakers.
2. Geomagnetic problems caused birds to no longer be able to navigate properly
3. They use carefully timed/placed nuclear bombs into the planets core "juice" (I don't know what else to call it).
