Ironic but....
The "terranauts" journeyed farther geometrically from the surface of the Earth than any astronaut has since the moon landings. The center of the Earth is 4,000 miles from the surface but the farthest from Earth any astronaut has gone since the moon landings is only 400 miles I read.
