DESTINY does not equal DESTINI.. wtf?!

Did anyone else notice this? It was called Project DESTINI right? As in Deep Earth Seismic Trigger INItiative as explained by one of the characters? So why then did everywhere in the film, including the movie's captions, searching on the web, etc say "Project DESTINY"?? I'm guessing a big oversight in this parade of crap known as "The Core"! Very enjoyably funny and strange film though!

It's mentioned on the commentary... you're basically asked to role with it. "DESTINI" was the original version, but the non-scientists in charge probably decided to call it "DESTINY" anyway. Tucci gives the original acronym, everyone else uses the revised, official name.

What are you talking about? "Destini" and "Destiny" are pronounced exactly the same. How do you think "Destini" should be pronounced?

Google often offers variant spellings.
