Disturbing Movie

I just watched this on HBO and now I kind of wished I had not. It was a very depressing movie, I read the book several years ago but seeing it was different I guess. Bob Crane was a talented bright smart man, its obvious he was a "sex-addict" before the term was even used today, and meeting up with John Carpenter was probably the very worst person to become involved with, he fed Cranes obsessions and Crane ended up hating him for it, I think Crane kind of hated himself a little too for not being able to control his powerful urges.

He should of gotten help for his addiction, it would of saved his marriage and possibly his life I think, he would say sex is normal and yes it is normal and natural and a good thing but he took it too a over the top level and it ruined him, and it was sad because he should of lived and thrived and enjoyed his son and life, I felt very bad for him. The movie is good and interesting but it can be dark and depressing, I only wished he could of lived and not been killed.

I have to agree. I just watched this movie for the first time over the weekend. Afterward I felt like I needed to take a shower. I guess truth really is stranger (and sicker) than fiction.

A heart can be broken, but it still keeps a-beatin' just the same.

For the first half of the movie it is kind of a light-hearted sex comedy, but you realize more and more Crane is being self-destructive and of course there is the grim ending.
