I felt bad for Carpenter

Bob Crane was such a *beep* in this film, he was arrogant and smug. Carpenter told Crane that he had affection for the blonde girl, and Crane just totally ignored him and went after her anyway. and he put down Carpenter many times. If i was John i would have beaten the *beep* out of him, i don;t know why he didn't, he was a hack tv star, not some mafioso or anything. What an egotistical loser.

Well, he did kill the guy didn't he?

reply

"Allegedly" beat him to death. The film alluded to this.
The Court could never prove Carpenter was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Maybe a jealous husband of one of Crane's many lovers beat the pulp out of his skull? Just speculation. I have never read a biography of Crane's life so I am just throwing out other likely scenarios. But the film never showed if Crane made any enemies outside of Carpenter... I would suspect that since Crane was aloof about his choice in partners that at least one of them would have a jealous boyfriend or husband.

the guy bashed in Cranes head with a camera tripod. If you ever see a real pic of Carpy, you would know why he was lucky to get any broads at all. Read Cranes bio by Greysmith ( I think ). It's pretty damn obvious that Capry did it, but then again, it was tried in L.A., and with that jury pool, even OJ can get off, oh wait, he did.

Anyone have a picture of Carpenter?

I also felt bad for Carpenter. That was until he smashed in Bob Crane's skull with a camera tripod.

I thought Bob Crane was murdered by Neo-Nazis. They hated "Hogan's Heroes" that much.

reply

Now wait just a minute... I'm no Neo-Nazi, and I hated "Hogan's Heroes."

"I don't deduce, I observe."

Neo-Nazis weren't the only people who hated "Hogan's Heroes".

I read the book "The Murder of Bob Crane: Who Killed the Star of Hogan's Heroes?" many years ago. After Crane's murder the police were bombarded with phone calls, many from wackos. Some suspected Neo-Nazis of the crime. At least one person suspected John Banner, the actor who played Sergeant Schultz on "Hogan's Heroes". Sadly, Banner had passed away five years earlier. I have to admit I imagined Banner answering "I see nothing! I hear nothing! I know nothing!" to a police interrogation. Banner was Jewish and not a real Nazi. On a serious note, he lost a lot of his family to the Holocaust as did his Hogan costar Robert Clary, who played Corporal Louis LeBeau. Clary is one of the last two living principal cast members of the show with Kenneth Washington, who joined the sitcom in its final season.

Do you normally have idiotic episodes and feelings in your brain from watching a fictional film because this film is clearly fictional.
