I disagree..he was a good character,he was jimmys ying to his yang,it made jimmy show off some more human traits as opposed to just been a foul mouthed thug.

I felt like Future was the ying. I didn't consider Future foul mouthed or a thug. I didn't think of Rabbit that way either. If anything, Jimmy was ying to Papa Doc's yang, showing you could be a decent person and still be at the top of the game in the rap battles.

Cheddar was there to show that Jimmy cared about his friends. I mean, there you have this gang that jokes about everything, when Jimmy needs someone to confide to. And even though Cheddar is this really annoying character who keeps ruining everything, Jimmy shows that he cares about him after he shot himself. Also, Jimmy's lack of impulse control ultimately saved Jimmy in his final battle, when he (albeit unintentionally) made Jimmy realize that Papa Doc had rehearsed to humiliate him on stage.
