Debbie Mathers wished she looked like Kim Basinger!

Definitely! Kim rules as always, but I didn't think she looked too glamorous at all in this movie. She really blended into this world.

I totally agree. One of my biggest criticisms of this movie is Kim Basinger as the mother. She is simply not convincing as white trailer trash. She's too thin & too pretty. A miscast.
