I recall when I first saw an episode of ATHF, I was like WTF, animators have truly hit rock bottom. Hearing meatwad at first, I thought how the hell can anyone understand this drivel. Time and time again I would pass this show in browsing or it would come on while I was working on my PC, and it eventually grew on me.
Now I'm actually looking forward to a new season.
I was kinda the same way. Didnt really fond of it at first, but around the 4th season I got into it for some reason lol
sharehmm, exactly the opposite for me...the first episode i ever saw when i was browsing through channels to find something to watch, and i came across this show, and it was the one with the first introduction of the mooninites, and i loved it immediately...it was just so brazingly funny that i wanted more, and tivo'd the show from that day on..
shareI tried not to like this show for awhile. But it didn't take long and I was hooked. It's one of those shows that has a number of episodes that I guess I just don't get, but it has several that are just brilliant (and funny as hell). I'd love to see them make some more new episodes, but in any case, they've made their mark.

shareSame here. I thought it was a stupid show until there was that ONE episode that had me laughing and made me watch them from the beginning.

This show has one of the most unique rhythms I've ever come across in a cartoon. Half the time it's the subtle nuances that happen between important scenes that make me laugh so hard. That.. and some of the things they mumble to each other have brought me to tears more times than I can count. Superb voice acting ties the whole thing together very tightly.
I know I'll eventually need rehab because of this show.

Seconded, OP. I used to see this on and me and my friend would talk about how stupid it looked. Then we watched an episode together out of boredom and just died laughing. I think we hit the peak of our love for the show with 'Ezekial.' Absolute gold.

I thought it was stupid at first but then Master Shake and Carl kept cracking me up.. It's way better than The Simpsons..
shareThat's how most Adult Swim shows are, as a kid I didn't understand them at all, I'd watch Adult Swim for the anime and some days they would play ATHF or Space Ghost or something and I wouldn't understand it and it used to be so weird. Then I grew up and started getting it and the humor just grew on me.
shareI just loved the series. It doesn't require much attention but can be so out-of-the-blue random and hilarious.
