perfect cast and script would've been.........

They had the right idea to make Eddie Murphy in this film, but it should've stuck true to the original series and made him already an agent. The Robert Culp role should've been played by singer Chris Isaak because he's got good looks that could make him believable as a womanizer and charm that would make him hold his own against Eddie Murphy. It would've been good to make Isaak's character the linguist in the movie because Isaak is bilingual in real life and because Kelly Robinson is a womanizer it's believable that he slept with women from different cultures and had the desire to learn the language of those cultures. Also, make Murphy the athlete, maybe gold, because he could've milked some laughs off of being a bad golfer, and he would've had a white guy(Isaak) as his second banana(caddy), and milked more laughs at that one.

How about casting Robert Culp and Bill Cosby and calling it "Grumpy Old Spies"?
