In I SPY, Eddie Murphy & Owen Wilson have good chemistry. Too bad that they can't generate any laughs. To be fair, it's mostly the script's fault. Maybe it was written by undercover spies pretending to be script writers, just to distract their enemies. That would explain why it seems like it was written by people who didn't know what they were doing.

Any thoughts?

You said it yourself, the duo had great chemistry! Personally when I watch this kind of movie I just want to be entertained I don't really care about the script as long as it's funny and the chemistry is there. Like rush hour or shangai noon. Compared to more recents movies like Cop Out and Ride Along, I, Spy deserve a 7/10. Again that's just my opinion but I
really enjoyed the movie.

From what I remember its one of the rare movies where the 'spy technology' isnt always working and that made me lAuh. Ex: when he sticks a device under a car. It just falls off! lOL

Well, I'm watching it at the moment, about halfway through, and it hasn't made me laugh so far. I haven't quite given up hope, but it's not looking good.

Because you should be paying attention to the movie. Even if you paused while you were writing, you were still judging it before finishing. It's not fair.
