Dispelling some myths, perhaps.

I just watched this brilliant movie. It left a real impression on me, so I checked out what other people had to say about it here at IMDb. I was quite surprised at the number of people who said it was "obesity propaganda", or promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. Like someone else said, the health risks for being overweight are blown out of proportion in the media. Disguising excess weight as a "health risk" has become society's way of justifying their prejudices against the overweight. There are health risks AND benefits for almost every lifestyle. In my opinion, the health risks of being underweight aren't emphasized nearly as much as those for the overweight.
Also, I don't think the film intends on slamming underweight people either. The title refers to these beautiful, REAL women who happen to think they're beautiful as they are. The same philosophy can be adopted by women who believe they are too thin. Loving yourself is the main message in this film, I don't think they were trying to dictate a certain weight for women to be.
