question about the pictures durring the credits?

I was discussing this movie with my mother who really related to the story because she is Mexican and she sort of broke out of the stereotype by "leaving" the family, getting a good job, and eventually married an Irish guy (my dad). My Grandmother was very much like Anna's mother but not quite as mean. Anyway, the movie was interesting to me because many of my cousins lived in the very same environment as Anna.

So, I was telling my Mom that there was some things about the movie that I thought were a little strange (for a movie). First thing, there was sort of a sub plot in the story about how Anna realizes they are cheap labor and that they could make more money if they just sold the dresses themselves. Then there was the thing about how they only made dresses for skinny women. So I was a little bit surprised at how none of that was tied up at the end.

Durring the credit scene they showed some pictures. And I thought for sure there would be pictures dealing with what I just said. But after a while, I got bored with them and switched over to a baseball game.

So, my Mom tells me that when she first saw this movie she remembered that durring the credits they showed pictures of Stella making large size dresses and becoming successful. They also showed Anna visiting the family in her red dress and hugging her Mom. Now, this makes sense to me, but my Mom also said that when she watched the movie recently those pictures weren't shown.

So, did anyone else notice these pictures? I have looked for alternate endings and haven't seen any. And my mom is wondering if she saw things correctly. My mom is a little bit old and sometimes remembers things differently if you know what I mean. But those pictures would make sense to me, and like I said, I watched most of the credits looking for something like that. I would just watch it again and check, but I don't know if HBO will be playing it soon and I ain't renting the thing.
