The American mentality on the female body

I spent a year in Afghanistan running the dining hall and had many local Afghan men working there. When this movie was on and there was the scene of the ladies stripping down at the garment factory, all the Afghan guys just sat down totally engrossed and with a big smile on their faces during the scene. Whereas many of the American guys looked disgusted and one guy who said he's "been traumatized for life".

In the old days, plumpness was a sign of health and wealth and men loved those type. Nowdays, ladies like Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, etc. are considered desirable and now even Britney Spears is considered fat because she doesn't have a little kid's body anymore.
