The Future of 'xXx'

This franchise could go the long haul in my opinion and has a better chance of being America's answer to Bond than Bourne for one simple reason; they can switch leads at anytime in the franchise because xXx unlike Bond is now an assumed identity - code.

It already has its own version of M and Q. All it needs now is to find its own identity. The opening credits of XXX: State of the Union annoyed me somewhat because it reminded me too much of Bond (with the PTS, then animated titles).

Hopefully the third film will find its own identity. I would prefer that Diesel doesn't come back. They went to great lengths to say he was dead in the last one and to say that xXx can be anyone (the franchises greatest asset IMO).

I'd personally like the next XXX to be a GIRL. That would mix things up. Don't make her a generic tough-chick though. They need to keep it fun and Darius Stone got kind of dry at times because he was acting so "bad ass".

The new xXx could be in two or three movies then they could switch to someone else and the series would just go on like that never needing to reboot itself because the ability to switch leading characters means that it will never get boring.

It just needs to find its own identity.
