Blu-ray release...

...is a rip off. I just bought it last month and all it had other than the HD version of the movie was some whackass previews. It didn't have any of the DVD features, so if you already have this on special edition DVD, keep it. I wouldn't recommend purchasing it on Blu-ray unless you really want to experience it in Hi-def.

I wouldn't recommend buying this movie on any format, but you are right, I just rented the BD and it's a barebones edition (which may be a good thing after all). The picture looks quite crappy for a HD release, nonetheless the audio is impressive.
The Movie: 5/10
The Picture Quality: 6/10
The Audio Quality: 9/10
Supplements: 1/10 (some trailers for other Sony BD titles were included)

Agreed. It was one of the first BD releases and it's a rip-off.

I remember this movie being released on DVD numerous times, in a variety of "special editions".

I bought it cheap the other day because I always was curious to see it, and I had a feeling I wouldn't feel the need to delve into any extras for this anyway.

But I was taken aback by the poor quality of the picture, it looks quite bad for such a recent movie. The sound on the other end is good.

The film is quite bad, and not even any fun. It's not only trashy, but dull and boring as well.

Diesel should not resurrect the character IMHO.
