Does xXx promote 'America' and U.S. foreign policy?

I always get into arguments with my friends about whether or not globalizing Hollywood films help or hurt the image/reputation of the U.S. in international relations. Do you think xXx promotes "America" and U.S. foreign policy to viewers outside of the U.S.? What image of "America" and U.S. foreign policy does xXx communicate to viewers outside of the U.S.? Could xXx--and action-adventure films like it--help sell "the American Way of Life" to viewers that don't live in or like the U.S.?

I'm not from the U.S. so I think I qualify for responding.
My answer is quite simple, however.
US politics affecting the rest of the world is painfully noticeable, so, no, there is no need for movies to make a point. Even if they "help" for those who don't see what's going on in the world.
The deal is like the whole world loves the U.S. and want to become the U.S. Alternatively, the U.S. forces its politics and views on countries and people.

But mostly about this movie, it's just a brainless action film.
There are more "cunning" scripts that could influence people subconsciously that the effects of getting U.S. politics and values everywhere are positive.
Either way, real life and movies are two different things and most people are able to differentiate between these two worlds.

yea it does. like most these type of movies its like its saying
"yea, were america, we stick our noses in everyones business and kinda nazi up on *beep* but its ok cuz look... our guy is the good guy and in the end we save everything so u love us now ok"

i think its retarded but i can still enjoy the action in these things haha

I'm more than happy to have the U.S. sit out of pretty much every little crap-event of the world. I think it's about time the U.S. became isolationists anyway.
Too much foreign aid..too much foreign debt...too much foreign wars... Maybe if we just get the hell out of the way, there will be peace, an end to poverty and the Earth will heal itself to its original glory.

It would be nice if we could isolate the USA ... Or maybe North America... or maybe all the Americas... However this is only one small planet and it is already connected. Economically, politically with blood, oil, commerce, the multi-national corporations, corruption and terrorism. It is a sick World, no doubt - however there is beauty in place - maybe it won't fade.

xXx is a fun, kick ass, American, action movie... Nothing more, nothing less.

We do give to much to nations who's only goal is to whip their population and point at the US for the reason for their misery. I thoughtBush Jr spent too much. Clearly Obama has made Jr out to be a light weight, though maybe he spends more in the US and less on Black Water - or whatever their new name is.

We are in 'everyone's business' because it is our business now. Before our land war in Asia, we ignored it, after the Soviets left. Clearly they want to engage us. I think it is only fair we return the favor... though I wounder at the cost and trillions of $ wasted on 'intelligence'.
