Rammstein Scene

What do you call the gathering that all the people were at dancing and jumping up and down to there music? I dont think you would call it a rave.

dance hall daze?

I would call it a rave. Rave = 'underground' drug and dance party where drugs are only somewhat optional. I hear all the kids did it back in the late '90s .. could be Eastern Europe was a little behind the times? Totalitarian dictatorships are no fun!

reply

I always relate "rave" with electronic or dance music.
The Rammstein scene reminds me to the Industrial or noise metal concerts, were instead of a mosh pit it´s similar to a rave (i say it because i was in a lot of them in the 90s and this movie was made in 2002)

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

reply

It's Industrial metal, didn't you know?

reply

Industrial metal, rave, dance, however "hardcore" these are painted to be in the context of the film, I'd be a little concerned if someone got shot at one of my gigs

reply

Rammstein don't classify themselves as industrial. It was just an underground club party. It isn't a rave because it was a live band playing, and there wasn't any crazy glow sticks everywhere.

reply

I would call it people at a club.
