I believe this movie is terribly overrated. When watching this as a kid i thought it was everything a horror movie could be. But now, not so much. Its literally as if not many things happen. The ending doesnt seem satisfying. But it is overall enjoyable if you dont overthink it
shareI agree.. I first watched this when it came out.. I was a teenager and thought this movie was so good. The storyline, the characters, the action.. all that.. But now I'm watching it as an almost 30 year old and think it's definitely predictable, mediocre and really just not that exciting. Definitely a "B" movie.
shareIt was alright. Not the best movie I've ever seen but certainly not a waste of time. I think The Hills Have Eyes and Texas Chain Saw Massacre did the killer mutant/hillbilly story better but this one still has its moments. I don't regret watching it.

shareI don't understand this, the film has a 6.1 rating on here and a 32 Metascore. When it was released, it passed by as if no one knew it existed. How is it overrated? The critics didn't like it and the general audience thought it was average at best.
