When Hermoine returns to the feast at the end, she hugs Harry dearly but she and Ron have an awkward moment, don't hug and just shake hands..... irrespective of what happens later, I'm asking how does this moment make sense in the movie?
shareI presume that Ron and Hermione were both supposed to be thinking something along the lines of "But what if it turns into a long hug or a kiss? What do I do then? Er, handshake." No such feelings with Harry, or from Harry.

thats exactly right... just felt very odd... 3 good friends and suddenly a dynamic thrown in which didn't make sense..
