Horcruxes (SPOILER ALERT)

I've read/ watched Harry Potter 2 and I think I noticed one little goof on the story.
Let me know if i'm wrong but Harry and the diary were both horcruxes, so, if the basilisk fangs can destroy a horcrux, as destroyed the diary, the diadem and the cup, why didn't destroyed the Voldemort's horcrux inside Harry when the fang stabbed him?

PS: that's not gonna change my love for the story, if my future children don't like it, I'll kick them out of my house... Hahaha

to destroy the horcrux the container must also be destroyed. Harry wasn't destroyed meaning Harry did not die.

You mean like, if the phoenix didn't had saved him with its tears, he would have died by the poison and then the horcrux would have been destroyed and he would have come back, without a part of Voldemort's soul on his, like in the Deathly Hallows?

I expected you to bring up Deathly Hallows. The Elder Wand detected the horcrux soul in Harry. it therefore directed the blast at that soul portion. lacking the usualy protections placed around a horcrux soul, the soul portion was destroyed. Note that the soul portion within Harry lacked the protections placed on a horcrus like the diary. Harry wasn't a true horcrux. the soul portion resided in him but had not been placed there by a series of magical spells. the magical protective spells had not been cast. the soul portion was defenseless.

also Harry was sent to limbo where he could had he chose passed on. also since Voldemort had used Harry's blood for his resurection, Voldemort anchored Harry to life.

in the case of the horcrux diary, had Harry died the soul portion would have been destroyed. Harry would not have come back.

Oh, I get what you mean, it cleared my mind... Hahaha
But now I got one more doubt.
In the Deathly Hallows, when Voldemort killed the portion of his soul in Harry, was the Elder Wand that managed to do so, or was it because the creator (Voldemort) used the Killing Curse?

I tend to think it was the wand but had not Voldemort cast the curse, Harry might not have been able to come back.

I guess that's why Dumbledore said that Voldemort had to kill him. I think the Wand had the power to overcome any magical criation, but Voldemort, because of what you said about using Harry's blood to come back, couldn't kill Harry, cause it would have taken Voldemort with him, i guess, and that wasn't what he wanted when he cast the curse. So it was left to Harry to decide. Am I right?

It would have, but Harry was saved by the tears of the phoenix. Except for Nagini all the other horcruxes were not living things, so I imagine destroyed pretty easily, but living things 'repair themselves'.

He's not technically a Horcrux, more a proto-Horcrux.

The creation of a Horcrux is a deliberate act enacted by a spell (which Rowling has not gone into but it's supposed to be vile) and Voldemort did not deliberately make Harry a Horcrux or perform this spell. His soul was so unstable that part of it split on the impact of losing his body and attached itself to Harry.

So the usual rules do not apply.

Be that as it may, I think if Nagini was stabbed by a basilisk fang but 'cured' by the tears of a phoenix before he died, then the horcrux would have survived also.

Nagini was an intentional Horcrux but this is possible, I guess.

Because Faux healed him before the poison could kill him or the Horcrux.

I think the bird saved Harry from it. With its tears.
