I don't recall seeing anyone named Kate in this movie. Anybody know which person she plays in this movie?

Anna Thalbach is the attractive young blonde woman who foolishly goes to the empty theater and is kidnapped and tortured by the bad guy throughout the movie...she was the main victim. The bad guy actually does call her by her name, but I believe her name was Karen and not Kate. I think this is a typo at IMDB.

I think Anna Thalbach played the computer expert who later threw herself out the window after watching he fearcom.com site.

It is not the computer expert for sure. At time mark 30:39 (ca.) it is said, that Denise Stone is the name of the expert.

...and "Denise" was played by Amelia Curtis.

If you mean the woman at the end who the idiots, er, I mean cop and deputy, er, public health officer, save from The Doctor, the actress is Astrid Skuyat and is listed as "Alistair's Victim". No idea who "Kate" was....
