If Austin is from the 60s how is his dad still alive in the future?

Did the movie ever explain it?

Like Killian Jones, I believe in good form. But like Capt Hook, I also believe in having fun.

Michael Caine, that is all

Austin goes to 1975 to stop Goldmember and finds out his father has been kidnapped. Goldmember grabs Nigel and goes through the time machine to 2002. Austin takes Foxxy to 2002 and they continue the pursuit.

His dad could still be alive, but would br a lot older than caine is in this movie. caine was the right age to be the father of Austin when he was 30 in 1967, but too young to be his father in 2000 when austin (if he hadn't beenf frozen) would have been 62. His father would have been about 90 by then i suppose.

Yes, the movie explains it. Time travel, you know.

Are you surprised? Every Austin Powers movie is basically based on time travel.
