Ugh,

I'm gonna keep it short and down-to-earth:
The worst thing ever about this film is the fact that there is HILARY DUFF as lead actress- seriously, she cannot act. When she cries, you can't even see tears and actually i wanted to laugh everytime she cries. Also, her voice is sooo freaking high and annoying!
The best things? The rifle competition- give you real insights on 'army' sports and aall the other actors were great- especially christy carlson romano. SHe really impressed me.
Anyways, overall, just one little comment to Disney- please please PLEASE, NEVER USE HILARY DUFF AS LEAD ACTOR AGAIN.
thankyou

Is it really cool to be totally stupid?

I don't think that she's that bad, but I don't like the plots of most of the stuff she's in.

I don't view Hilary as a bad actress. I think she played her part well. Gary Cole also did a good job as General Maxwell (the commandant), and Shawn Ashmore wasn't bad as Cadet Major Brad Rigby. Christy Carlson Romano, on the other hand, really sucked as Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone. Even though she's one of my favorite actresses, I don't view her as particularly suitable for the part of such a mean character. I think they gave her the wrong part.

Also, if you knew how Christy felt about having to be mean to Hilary (not counting the benefits or how it all turned out), you might feel a little bit sorry for her. I know I do, and here are my reasons:

1) I think she and Hilary deserve better.

2) I don't want to encourage any further adversary relationships between them, even if it is just acting, as I greatly respect their friendship.

3) I don't want to encourage Christy to play more villains or anything even remotely resembling them, as I find her annoying in such roles.

I suppose I should mention that just as Christy didn't like being mean to Hilary, I didn't like to see her being mean to Hilary. This is what I think about their characters being in an adversary relationship - it's unnecessary, it's stupid, it's pointless, it's annoying, and it's disgraceful to the movie business!

Also, I guess that playing villains isn't necessarily fun for everyone in show business. I mean, Tim Curry loves to play villains (and finds them to be more fun), and Christopher Lloyd can't get enough of his villain Hacker in the PBS Kids cartoon show "Cyberchase," but to me it doesn't seem likely that Christy Carlson Romano would be the type to want to play villains. Or she might find the good characters to be more fun than the evil ones, I don't know. Either way, I think she makes a terrible villain.

I like Hilary in "Lizzie McGuire," and I like Christy in "Even Stevens" and "Kim Possible," but "Cadet Kelly" can kiss my butt. The movie's plot can kiss my butt, the movie's conflict can kiss my butt, Christy's crappy villain role can kiss my butt, and for casting Hilary and Christy in an adversary relationship, the movie's producers can kiss my butt.

In closing, I think it's time Hilary and Christy did another movie together, preferably one where their characters are equals and are friends not only at the end of the movie, but also at the beginning, and everywhere in between.
