They would have released it in 2004 instead of 2007.Remeber RH1 was in 1998,then RH2 was in 2001,so naturally using the same timeline RH3 probably should have been released in 2004 instead.It was like too much time passed between 2 and 3 and maybe people grew tired of waiting or became somewhat uninterested in the film?

shareIt's more than that actually...Slightly: Despite Chris's (possibly big) issue about becoming a "Born Again Christian" (Google that story) before filming, most production companies would rather postpone certain films unless they don't have conflicts with distribution contracts or competition with other films being released.
But let's cross our fingers and hope the next installment makes the exact release date: 2011 or 2012. That's not being funny either, Chris, Jackie AND Brett Ratner better do something fast before we wait another decade...

This movie was to be released around 2004-05, perhaps even early 2006 but Chris Tucker delayed the film and was nearly replaced. There was a lot of politics involved that delayed the movie until 2007, 7 years since the last one.
