There will be a Rush Hour 4

If you goto www.boxofficemojo.com you will see that in rentals alone, Rush Hour 3 has already made 60 million. It is looking to be one of the highest grossing rentals out there. Add that to the movie gross and the dvd sales and it is profitable enough to make part 4. Does anyone agree?

True. According to Brett Ratner and Jeff Nathanson, they're developing a "Rush Hour 4" to come out either in 2010 or '11. Ratner would produce it but won't be directing it. He wants Brian De Palma to take over the direction and according to Ratner, De Palma is interested.

New Line's not exactly swimming in cash and a huge percentage of the gross from the film - and DVD - goes to Tucker, Chan and Rattner. Once marketing costs are in, it's doubtful New Line will even cover the budget on this one - they spent around $200m all-in on making and marketing the film.

Of course, Ratner is the guy who actually upped his asking price to $10m after RH3 flopped because his percentage of the take was so low after tax and agents' commission, so I'm not surprised he still thinks there's life in it.

I wouldn't mind a fourth but they really need to play it smart if they do. Keep it to LA and for once, stray away from Chan's character Lee and show more of Carter (we know enough about Lee already!). I'd like the villain to be some typical Compton gangsta with dirt on Carter's past. I'd make an interesting dark mix and adding Chan in there would be even cooler.

But evidently the series seems to be going more for fish outta water type of setting with random humor and action thrown in and the climax occuring at every major landmark of a worldwide city from Paris's Eiffel Tower to even San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.

i heard it is to be set in Moscow, i think that would be great. I had this typical rush hour scene in my head, with Lee and Carter going to a russian restraunt and Carter is causing a fuss in the front while lee is sneaking around the back rooms

As long as the movies make money, the will keep making sequels.

Hopefully they will make another one. I feel RusHours movie series needs to end stylish, not like this one. This wasnt so good that i could say goodbye to Lee and Carter... Please one more and give all you got! :)
