Rush Hour 9/10

Rush Hour 2 5/10 (a fun movie but really not that funny)

1) Rush Hour ... 8 out of 10 (Once you realize it's your basic buddy-cop film and can only be so good, it's actually a great amount of fun, and I watch it every so often)
2) Rush Hour 3 ... 7 out of 10 (I don't know why. Every twist is predictable, some of the action is phoned-in, I knew everything that was going to happen due to the over-reliance on cliches, and it's a "bad movie" no doubt, but I had a blast! I loved it.)
3) Rush Hour 2 ... 6 out of 10 (Same story as number three. It's a bad movie, but a lot of fun. But something about it seemed a little less fresh than the others.)

Rush hour 1 - 8/10 - Great fun, good chemistry with Chan and Tucker, "can you do this to the beach boys?"
Rush hour 2 - 9/10 - This film is gold, how can you say the casino scene is not funny? Tucker's racist rant talking about the cotton fields of $500 chips, quoting Nelson Mandela - "Lionel Richie hasn't been black since the Commodores!" "Ike and Tina! They can get back together!"
Rush hour 3 - 6/10 - Just plain mediocre, Chan seems bored and is undeniably old (stunt double!), cg and wire work enhanced fights, Tucker is fat - How can this guy have the balls to demand a 25 million paycheck with a filmography where 90% of it starts with 'Rush...'
Still with all things being said I'm open to a 4th and final film if they can get the balance right, a film that plays to Chan's strengths as an ageing martial arts star taking his final bow and Tucker loosing a bit of weight and playing Carter a tad more serious as to ground the film with some credibility that seemed lost in number 3. Dont wait! Number 3 should have been released in 04, Rush 4 needs to be done by 2012 or its too late, Jackie is almost 60 for god sake - give the man a break!
