good lord i hate the academy awards. im done with them. boycotting them starting now. just awful that this movie didnt get any nominations. should have been up for picture, director, soundtrack, supporting actor (finney), lead actor (hawke OR hoffman), supporting actress (tomei). ROBBERY!!! (Pardon the pun lol) Seriously, what is up with the oscars these days?
shareI know right?? It was a powerful film many agree as I do was a masterpiece drama. The acting was superb with a top notch story that did not stop and kept you right at the edge of your seat. I don't get that there wasn't 1 nomination. This film seemed to run under the radar for some reason because I always say to people how good it was and most have not even heard of it. Shame that such a great film wasn't targeted or given it's due. Even the critics raved about it lol. Funny because I was just about to post the exact same thing and why I came to the message board after watching "A Most Wanted Man" and Philip Hoffman I was thinking of this film .

As it was such a great film I have to agree, the only reason this wasn't nominated was due to the high calibre of films from 2007, leaving this one left out by the academy.

High caliber or not, BTDKYD should and would fit any conceivable top 5. Ditto PSH as a lead.
